Traffic is building on Blue Bell Hill after a car flipped into a ditch.

Queues are building near Maidstone following the incident this evening.

Police are at the scene after a car careered off the Maidstone-bound carriageway and ended up upside down at the side of the road.

Dashcam footage shows police blocking the inside lane, with the crashed car several feet off the road.

The crash occurred between the M2 Junction 3 and the M20 Junction 7, with traffic being affected travelling towards Maidstone.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 5.58pm this evening to a report of a single car collision on the A229 near Blue Bell Hill.

"Officers are at the scene and a lane closure is in place. No serious injuries have been reported."
