Detling: Kent Police and fire crews attend as fire destroys caravan near Bimbury Lane and A249

A fire near the A249 destroyed a caravan last night.

Police and fire crews were sent out to Bimbury Lane, Detling, just after 10pm.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene and the fire was out by 10.19pm.

No casualties were reported, but the caravan was totally destroyed in the blaze.

KCC Highways was contacted to recover the vehicle.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
