SAD SIGHT: the cat needed surgery to have a leg removed

A CAT had to have its leg amputated following an incident involving an air rifle.

The shooting occurred sometime between October 17 at 2pm and 8.30pm on October 19 when the animal returned to its home in Bimbury Lane, Detling, near Maidstone.

When examined by a vet, the cat was found to have been struck by some sort of pellet. Surgery was required to have its broken leg removed.

Anyone who may have information regarding the attack is asked to contact police in Mid Kent on 01622 604180 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 – this call is free and confidential.
