Thieves struck overnight at a newsagents in Penenden Heath.

The raiders smashed a window to break into Martins newsagents in Boxley Road between 7pm on Wednesday, April 18, and Thursday, April 19, escaping with a haul of cigarettes.

Police could not say how much was stolen.

A team of forensic officers were investigating at the scene on Thursday morning.
