A broken down vehicle caused delays near the Kent County Showground.

The incident, on the A249 Detling Hill was reported at around 12pm today.

There was congestion on the southbound carriageway.

Police confirmed they were made aware of the vehicle, just after Jade's Crossing, at 11.58am.

Officers attended to assist, and removed the vehicle by 12.32pm.

Motorists were advised to approach with caution, or to find an alternative route where possible.
