A crash between a car and a motorbike on a main road in rush hour traffic has prompted delays.

The incident, which happened on the A229 Royal Engineers Road in Maidstone at 5pm today, triggered an emergency service response.

One lane is closed northbound after the Springfield roundabout, according to Kent Highways.
