A crash caused rush-hour delays on a major route out of Maidstone.

The collision happened on the A229 Staplehurst Road at the junction with Maidstone Road, towards Marden.

The carriageway was partially blocked and there was also a fluid spillage.

The scene was cleared shortly after 5pm.
