The A249 at Detling following a crash earlier this morning.

Traffic heading towards Maidstone was nose-to-tail because of a crash on the outside lane of Detling Hill between Scragged Oak Lane and Pilgrims Way at around 7am.

Motorists experienced long delays.

Both lanes were reopened at 7.50am but there are still tailbacks to junction 7 of the M20.

Drivers also suffered delays when Leybourne Way at Larkfield was partially blocked following another crash near the Tesco superstore. The damaged vehicles have now been moved.
