West Farleigh: Cyclist airlifted after fall in Smith's Hill

A pensioner was flown to hospital with severe head injuries after he fell from his bicycle in Smith's Hill, West Farleigh.

The 72-year-old, who was riding a black racing bike, fell onto the road just after 6pm last night.

The air ambulance landed in a field nearby and the man was taken to King's College Hospital in London where he is being treated at a specialist neurological unit.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the cyclist beforehand.
