Five vehicles have been involved in a crash on the M20.

The collision happened on the London bound carriageway at Junction 7 for the A249, Detling Hill near Maidstone at around 4.45pm.

Initially a lane on the entry slip road was closed along with one lane on the main carriageway before all traffic was stopped by police leading to long queues.

The cars were moved to the hard shoulder and the lanes re-opened around 5.20pm.

An ambulance was called to the scene although it is not known yet if anyone was hurt.
