There were long delays around Maidstone this morning following an accident on the one-way system.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Upper Stone Street, near the junction with Campbell Road.

The right-hand lane was blocked while officers dealt with the smash, which happened around 9am, but it has now been cleared.

There were no reported casualties.
