Three-vehicle crash causes delays on M20

A three-vehicle crash is causing delays on the M20 this evening.

It happened at around 5pm, near Junction 6 for Maidstone, and caused one lane to close.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 5.01pm on Monday to a report of a collision involving three vehicles on the M20 near Junction 6, near to the A229.

"One lane closure is in place, while the incident is attended to.

"No serious injuries are believed to have been reported."

Traffic was held for around 10 minutes and was released at around 5.25pm, however it is now said to be coping well.

Police say the lane was re-opened at around 7.20pm.

It is the second major incident on the M20 today.

A van was left on its side after an accident on the M20, near West Malling, at around 10.20am.
