An A&E consultant at Maidstone Hospital at the heart of rugby's fake injury scandal has told a medical misconduct hearing she is ashamed of what she did.

Dr Wendy Chapman has admitted cutting Harlequins winger Tom Williams to make it look like he was injured.

He had used a fake blood capsule, prompting match officials to rule his team should be allowed to make an extra substitution.
