Accident on A249: motorist arrested on suspicion of drink-driving

A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash that closed the A249.
There were long delays on the road last night following the accident on the south-bound stretch. It was cleared just after 1am.
Police said one person had been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
