A MOTORIST was arrested by police for road traffic offences after his car hit a parked car and a telephone box.

The crash happened just before 3am on Saturday morning in High Street, Marden.

The driver of the green Mazda saloon car, who was a local man, left the scene and was later taken into custody by police.

He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
