A woman has been taken to hospital after the car she was driving hit a bus stop in Maidstone.

Paramedics treated the driver, who was out of her vehicle, for minor injuries and took her to Maidstone Hospital in Hermitage Lane.

It is believed she had suffered a medical episode before the collision.

There was one woman waiting at the bus stop, who suffered a small cut to her hand but did not require medical treatment.

The road remained open and traffic was not affected.
