Two arrests in Maidstone after drugs found in drinks flask

Two people were arrested after cannabis and cocaine were found inside a drinks flask.

At around 1pm on Friday (Feb 19) police from the Maidstone Task Force were on patrol in Surrey Road, Shepway, where they stopped a Honda Civic.

Officer suspected the male driver was involved in the supply of drugs and searched the vehicle where they found the class A drugs inside a drinks flask.

A quantity of cash was also seized following the search and a 41-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested.

Police then headed to an address in Penenden Heath where they found more suspected cocaine, cash and electric scales.

As a result, a 41-year-old woman was arrested and taken into custody.

The pair were later released pending further investigation.
