Early hours drugs raid in Maidstone

This was the moment that a house was raided by police who suspected cannabis was being grown inside.

Police who were granted a warrant to raid the house in Bell Road, Park Wood, and arrested a 41-year-old man for cultivating cannabis and intent to supply controlled drugs.

A 46-year-old woman has been cautioned for permitting the production of cannabis.

Police raided the house on Tuesday May 4 in the early hours of the morning and found a quantity of cannabis plants and herbal cannabis inside.

PS Michael Hayes of the Neighbourhood Task Team said: "This is another step for the joint working of the local officers and the task team in Maidstone to combat crime and anti-social behaviour in the neighbourhoods.

"The team has been working in Park Wood for several weeks now and have made several arrests, seized vehicles for no insurance and been making regular patrols, to deter anti social behaviour in the area.

"We will continue to work in this area to resolve the issues which matter most to the community."
