Eight people got stuck in a hotel lift while enjoying a night out in town.

Fire fighters were called to the Travelodge, in St Peter’s Street, after the lift got stuck a foot beneath the first floor on Saturday.

One engine was sent to free the group, who were all in their late teens and early 20s.
