Maidstone: Two arrested after police called to Miller Heights Lower Stone Street

Officers were called to a block of flats after concerns were raised for the welfare of some residents.

Police cars were spotted on Lower Stone Street in Maidstone, outside Miller Heights.

A police spokesman said earlier: "Officers are currently at the scene making inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident."

Police are at the scene.

Police were also seen leaving Miller Heights carrying evidence bags.

A spokesman said: "Officers attending a block of flats in Lower Stone St, Maidstone have arrested two people.

"We were called at 12.15am today, regarding a report of concern for the welfare of residents at an address in Miller Heights.

Police were seen leaving Miller Heights with evidence bags.

"Officers attended and found everybody was safe and well.

"While officers were at the location they identified two outstanding burglary suspects and they were subsequently arrested.

"A 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman, both from Maidstone, remain in police custody and inquiries are on-going."
