Emergency works in Bearsted are causing traffic chaos across Maidstone.

The works, caused by an emergency gas escape, have caused queues across the County Town, only exacerbated by an earlier crash on the A229 Loose Road.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys this morning.
