Charlie Casey who absconded from HMP Sudbury arrested after allegedly stabbing woman

A dangerous convict on the run from prison has been arrested after a 24-year-old woman was stabbed.

Charlie Casey, 22, absconded from HMP Sudbury, an open prison in Derbyshire, at the end of April.

He was sentenced on January 3, 2013 to four years and eight months imprisonment for robbery and false representation offences, but he escaped from prison on April 30.

After absconding Casey allegedly stabbed a woman at Oakdene Forest Park in St Leonards, Dorset, on May 21. The victim's wound was non life-threatening.

Derbyshire Police say Casey was arrested by Kent Police in Maidstone on Wednesday, August 6.
