She may be only 11, but already Evie Stevenson is an acknowledged gourmet food critic.

The Invicta Grammar School pupil has her own webpage where she writes reviews of the restaurants she visits and she counts renowned chef Nathan Outlaw, who owns three restaurants in Cornwall and another in London, among her Twitter followers.

Her mum, Samantha Stevenson, said: “Evie’s always been passionate about her food.

“She loves going out to restaurants and likes to post her criticisms online.”

Her reputation has grown so much that she was contacted by Cactus, a TV company, and asked whether she would like to appear as a food taster on a new series of the CITV children’s programme The Munch Box.

Evie, who lives in Maidstone, was auditioned by Skype and has been invited to attend filming in October.

She said: “Ever since I was young, I was involved in a lot of cooking. I have been very fortunate to go to many restaurants.”
