Three ferrets have been snatched from a shed in the back garden of a Maidstone home.

The two silver female ferrets and an albino male - known as a cob - were stolen from the home in Bicknor Road overnight on Sunday, January 23.

A lock was broken off the shed door sometime between 7pm and 7.30am on the Monday morning.

Fishing gear was also stolen, and a box to carry the ferrets in.

Police are appealing for the animals' safe return. Anyone with information should call police on 01622 604210 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting crime number CY/1192/11.
