A lorry driver who became trapped in the cab after crashing into traffic lights near Maidstone had to be rescued by firefighters.

The collision took place just after 9am at a roundabout at the junction of the A229, Blue Bell Hill, and the M2.

The casualty was transferred on to a long board and passed in to the care of ambulance crews.
