Traffic is building this morning on the M20 due to a vehicle fire and collision.

The blaze happened between junction 2 for Wrotham and 3 for Borough Green just before 8am.

The left hand lane was closed due to the incident.

Fire crews were called to reports that the bonnet of a car was smoking and smouldering at 7.43 this morning.

It was discovered that a small bit of insulation under the van's bonnet had caught fire.

The incident was dealt with by 8.05am.

There has also been a crash on the London-bound carriageway involving two cars.

The vehicles collided between junction 5 for Aylesford and junction 6 for Leybourne.

One lane is currently blocked.
