Firefighters called to Ashford Road, St Michael's to tackle chimney fire

Firefighters put out a blaze in a chimney at a private house on Friday.

An engine from Lenham Fire Station attended the incident in Ashford Raod, St Michael’s near Tenterden, at 5.30pm.

A second crew from Tenterden Fire Station was also called to the scene to help.

After firefighters had brought the blaze under control, they used thermal imaging equipment to check for hotspots.

They left the scene at 7.30pm.
