POLICE are investigating a number of break-ins at the same apartment complex in a Kent town.

Thieves targeted five flats at Scotney Gardens in St Peter's Street, Maidstone, on during Monday, escaping with jewellery and cash.

Police say it appears the offenders forced the front doors of the apartments after gaining entry to the building through the communal door.
