Forge Lane off Dean Street in East Farleigh, near Maidstone, is currently closed to traffic after an incident of fly tipping has blocked the road.

The rubbish strewn across a large area.

Dean Street itself is clear. The site is less than half a mile away from Tovil Waste Transfer station where the rubbish could have been disposed of safely and for free.

Maidstone council said it would be sending officers out this afternoon to rummage through the waste to see if there is any evidence of identity that might lead to a prosecution.

It will be down to KCC to actually remove the waste as it's on the highway.

An MBC spokesman said she believed the raod was passable with care on one side of the highway.
