Some people might think it's being a nanny state, but Kent's traffic police felt they just couldn't leave a young goat wandering around the A20 in Maidstone on its own.
But having butted in and rescued the goat, they were at a bit of a loss to know what to do with the animal, which was not much more than a kid.
Fortunately, they remembered the Buttercups Goat Sanctuary at Boughton Monchelsea, and the goat is now enjoying its new home, while officers seek to find its real owners.
