Handbag snatched at church fete

A WOMAN'S handbag was stolen while she manned a stall at a church fete.

The incident occurred in Grove Road, Mangravet, Maidstone. The handbag had been was wrapped around a chair behind the stall.

It contained a purse, mobile phone and other property. The theft happened between 2.30pm and 2.45pm last Friday.

* A black and beige rucksack was stolen from a van parked in Barleycorn in Leybourne, between 10.30am and 10.40am last Thursday. The bag contained cash, keys and documents.
