Police appeal for help to find a man who disappeared from Maidstone Hospital in Hermitage Lane say he has been found safe and well

A patient who went missing from Maidstone Hospital has been found.

The 64-year-old, whose name has not been released, had disappeared still wearing his hospital pyjamas at around 10pm yesterday.

He had been receiving treatment in Hermitage Lane.

A police helicopter was involved in the search, and was reported hovering low over Allington for around half an hour shortly after midnight.

He was found safe and well at 1pm today, close to where he was reported missing.

Kent Police has thanked the public for their help.
