Tributes to Luke "Dusty" Watson at his funeral

More than 200 mourners turned out to bid farewell to popular Maidstone man Luke “Dusty” Watson, who was killed while walking alongside the M20.

Luke's funeral took place at St Peter and St Paul's Church, Aylesford, where friends and relatives gathered to pay their respects and remember a young man who lived life to the full every day of his 25 years.

Mark Watson, Luke’s brother, said it had been a tough morning but that the afternoon turned into a celebration of Luke’s life as mourners moved to the Chiltern Hundreds pub in Penenden Heath.

“They closed it off for us and there was a lot of dancing and singing,” he said.

“At one point people were jumping up and down singing Chelsea songs - I thought we were going to go through to the cellar.”
