A 16-year-old boy was beaten around the head by a 14-year-old assailant in a horrific school playing field attack.

This week the 14-year-old admitted beating the teenager, who he had argued with the previous evening.

The attack took place in front of scores of children and adult witnesses, one of who said he believed the victim to be dead. The victim was rushed to hospital where medics feared he may have suffered bleeding to the brain.

This week the boy faced magistrates in Maidstone, who warned he may face prison for his crime.
