Inquest into teenager's death is opened

An inquest into the death of a teenager in a car crash has opened.

Ben Eason from Kings Hill, near West Malling, was a front seat passenger in a Citroen Saxo which landed on its roof soon after 3am on Easter Saturday, April 3.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, on the A227 Gravesend Road, near Wrotham, between Vigo Hill and Fairseat Lane.

Ben was one of five teenagers in the vehicle. The driver, a 19-year-old man, suffered head injuries and was taken to Maidstone Hospital with the other three passengers, a 19-year-old man and two women aged 18.

All four were released later the same day and the road was reopened at about 9.50am.

An inquest was opened and adjourned on Friday, April 16.
