Inquiry calls over peer's expenses

Labour peer Baroness Uddin has become the latest politician to become embroiled in a home allowance row.

It is said she claimed £100,000 on a second home allowance on an empty flat.

The Sunday Times claims Baroness Uddin registered the property in Maidstone as her main home - allowing her to claim for her family home in east London.

But neighbours say the flat has been unoccupied for years. She claims she regularly uses the property.

Now Angus Robertson, the leader in Westminster of the Scottish National party, said he wanted an inquiry into the baroness's expense claims.
