About 30 walkers enjoyed a nature walk around Mote Park, Maidstone, to raise money for Sport Relief. The event was organised by Nimisha Cross, of Audley, which manages Mote House residential home.

Some serious fund raising is getting under way as scores of people take on Sport Relief challenges.

The main event is on Sunday, when it's the Maidstone Sport Relief Mile in Mote Park.

Organised by Maidstone council and supported by the Kent Messenger, 800 runners will take part in one of three events.

You can show your support by turning out to cheer on the day. The first event is a six mile run at 10am. A three mile run starts at 12.30pm. The Maidstone mile itself begins at 1.30pm.

Park and Ride services will be running on the day.

There will also be a wide range of stalls inside the park, offering information on running and exercise and the kmfm cruiser car and cruiser staff will also be on hand to entertain the crowds.
