Commuters are warned to expect rush-hour delays on the way into Maidstone this evening, due to works to fix a faulty power cable.

A lane of the A229 will be shut between M20 Junction 6 for Maidstone, and the Springfield Roundabout.

A spokesman for Kent Highways said: "UK Power Networks are attending. The closure is expected to be in place throughout the evening peak."
