Motorists are being advised to seek alternative routes into Maidstone this morning after long delays were reported on the A20.

Due to temporary traffic lights on London Road it is currently taking 35 minutes to get from junction 5 of the M20 for Aylesford and the town centre.

Kent County Council Highways is reporting that all other routes are reasonably clear.
