We've been flooded with pics of pouting pooches, cuddly cats and other attractive animals.

Now the serious business of finding the most Precious Pet can begin.

On Friday, June 27, the Kent Messenger will publish all the entries in its Precious Pets competition in a special supplement, and ask you to vote for your favourite.

The competition is sponsored by the Maidstone-based Newnham Court Veterinary Group.

The winner will get a fantastic £250 cash prize as well as a framed portrait of their pet.

They will also receive free pet food for a year from Newnham Court Veterinary Group.

Your votes will whittle down the entries to a shortlist of 10 finalists. A winner will then be chosen by our panel of judges.
