A crash involving three cars has blocked the A274 Sutton Road in Maidstone.

There are severe delays in the rush-hour traffic as emergency services attend the scene.

The accident happened near the junction with Northumberland Road at 4.45pm this evening. Two people suffered minor injuries and have been taken to hospital.

The crash adds to the troubles for motorists. A broken-down vehicle on Upper Stone Street in Maidstone just after the junction with Mote Road is blocking one of the two lanes.
