There will be lane closures on the M20 between junctions 5 (Aylesford) and 7 (Detling) tonight for resurfacing work.

Workmen will be out between 10pm and 6am, and a 50mph limit will be enforced. There will be London-bound lane closures on the motorway, while the London-bound exit slip road at junction 5 and both the London-bound entry and exit slip roads at junction 6 will be closed.

Diversions will be signposted.

Meanwhile, the Highways Agency is also planning to start a programme of bridge repairs on the M20 near Ashford tonight.

The work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am every night until Thursday, February 5. There will be some lane closures and temporary 50mph speed limits.

To help plan your journey, The Highways Agency has a new DAB digital radio traffic service which can be found by scanning stations on your DAB radio.

The radio traffic updates can also be listened to online at www.highways.gov.uk or by clicking here.
