A Maidstone man is due to stand trial for causing the death of a teenager through dangerous driving.
Paul Jeffree pleaded not guilty to a number of motoring offences following the fatal crash, which happened on the M3 near Sunbury-on-Thames in Surrey.
The 57-year-old, of Marsham Street, appeared at Guildford Crown Court on Friday charged with causing the death of 18-year-old Charlotte Riches from Basingstoke and causing serious injury to a female passenger in the same car.
The incident happened on the northbound carriageway of the motorway in October last year, when the Vauxhall Zafira he was driving collided with a Toyota IQ2 which caught alight.
Jeffree was bailed and is next due to appear for trial at Guildford Crown Court in January next year.
