A dramatic last minute equaliser from Nathan Paul earned 10-man Maidstone an unlikely point against Tonbridge in the west Kent Ryman League Premier Division derby at Homelands.

Paul’s goal capped an impressive comeback from the Stones who played half the game a man short and looked dead and buried at 2-0 down.

Carl Rook had put Tonbridge ahead from the penalty spot after 24 minutes after Jay Saunders had fouled Scott Gooding at a corner.

Dean Hernandez-Bradshaw was red-carded just before half-time after appearing to push Kirk Watts, before Lee Minshull added a second for the Angels when he headed the ball past Jamie Turner shortly after the hour mark.
