Drivers faced new traffic confusion in Maidstone this morning.

The left turn from Mote Road into Upper Stone Street has been blocked off, as lengthy gasworks continue.

Mote Road is a main connection from Wat Tyler Way and Sittingbourne Road, to Upper Stone Street, which leads towards Loose, or the gyratory.

The closure is predicted to last two weeks and the road works began in April.

Knightrider Street which had been closed has now re-opened.
