Antony Carr of Maidstone remanded accused of knife rampage in front of children in Shepway

A man has appeared at Maidstone Crown Court accused of going on a rampage with a knife near children.

Antony Carr, of York Road, Maidstone, is charged with grievous bodily harm, affray, possessing a blade in a public place, using violence to secure entry to a property, criminal damage and two breaches of a molestation order.

It follows an incident in Shepway on June 30, when witnesses claimed a man was holding near a group of children.

Carr, 27, appeared for the preliminary hearing by TV link with Elmley Prison, Sheppey.

He was remanded in custody until October 10 when he will enter pleas.
