Two people have been freed from a car following a two vehicle collision this morning.

Fire fighters cut the roof off one of the cars using specialist hydraulic equipment to free a man and a woman at about 10.30am.

They remained on the scene for close to an hour and an ambulance was sent by the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

One of the victims is understood to have been taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with minor injuries.

Kent Police partially closed the road and sent a diversion through Lenham. The road was fully open at 11.50am.
