THREE teenagers set upon a 25-year-old man and robbed him as he stood at a cash machine.

The victim suffered a head injury and was taken to Maidstone Hospital following the incident outside the NatWest Bank on the corner of Northumberland Road and Sutton Road, Maidstone, at 11.25pm last night.

The man was standing at the bank’s cash point when three boys approached him from behind. He was hit on the head with a glass object before the teenagers, said to be aged about 16, ran away.

No cash was taken but the robbers made off with the man’s bank card. Police said the victim was treated in hospital for a cut to his head.
