Dale Cooper charged with assaulting emergency workers after police descend on Bank Street, Maidstone

A man will appear in court today charged with assaulting police officers.

Four police cars and a custody van were sent to Bank Street, Maidstone, on Friday afternoon.

Officers arrested Dale Cooper, 56 at the scene.

He was charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of using threatening or abusive words.

Homeless Cooper has been remanded in custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates Court today.
