A man has been charged after a police chase in which an officer was reportedly almost run over.

Scott Flisher, 25, was initially arrested alongside a 31-year-old on suspicion of burglary, dangerous driving, failing to stop and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm after the pursuit in August.

Flisher, of Chattenden, has been charged with driving without insurance or a licence and dangerous driving and has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court next month. The other suspect from Rochester has been released without charge.
